BAJA SAEINDIA 2017
The team won the second prize in the Cost category at BAJA SAEINDIA 2017 — a prestigious national-level off-road vehicle engineering competition. This was the first time the team from our campus participated in the Main BAJA SAEINDIA Race, marking a historic milestone for Team Vegam.

GO KART DESIGN COMPETITION
GKDC — GO KART DESIGN COMPETITION
Team Vegam designed and built a Go-Kart and participated in the Go Kart Design Competition. The team showcased their engineering skills across static and dynamic events, demonstrating strong technical design and fabrication capabilities.
2018–19

GKDC · BUDDH INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT
Team VEGAM from Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore designed and built a Go-Kart and participated in the 6th GKDC competition held at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida, UP. The team completed all Static events (Technical Inspection, Turning Radius, Brake & Acceleration Test) and all Dynamics events (Auto Cross, Skid Pad and Endurance). Team secured Overall Rank #11 nationally.

ESI ATV RACING CHAMPIONSHIP
Participated in the ESI ATV Racing Championship — a competitive all-terrain vehicle racing event at national level.
2022–23
BUILD SEASON
KART BUILD & PREPARATION
Team Vegam returned with a new kart build season — designing, fabricating, and testing an all-new Formula Kart in preparation for the upcoming national competitions. The team refined their design process and pushed engineering standards higher.
2023–24

GKDC SEASON 11 · KARI MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Team Vegam participated in GKDC Season 11 conducted by ISNEE Motorsports at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore — a prestigious national-level Go-Kart design challenge offering students maximum design flexibility and creative freedom.
FKDC SEASON 8 · KARI MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Formula Kart Design Challenge Season 8 conducted by FMAE at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. A national-level competition with 63 registered teams from across India. Only 50 completed fabrication, only 45 cleared technical inspection and passed all dynamic tests to qualify for the race. Team Vegam secured 8th Position nationally.
